Hogwarts Legacy 2 is The company's intentions to develop a Hogwarts Legacy sequel were revealed by Warner Bros. Discovery CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels at the Bank of America’s 2024 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference, as reported by Variety. Wiedenfels stated that a sequel is "one of the biggest priorities in a couple of years down the road," highlighting the game's significant contribution to the company's growth projections.

Hogwarts Legacy 2 is Warner Bros. Games President David Haddad previously emphasized the game's remarkable replayability as a key factor in its success, noting its high rate of repeat playthroughs. In a previous Variety interview, Haddad praised the game for its innovative approach to the Harry Potter universe, allowing players to immerse themselves in the world and create their own unique experiences. This, he believes, is what truly resonated with players, propelling Hogwarts Legacy to become the year's top-selling title, a position usually occupied by established franchises' sequels.
