How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors Origins

Author : Anthony Mar 18,2025

In the heat of battle in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, taking damage is inevitable, especially for newcomers or those tackling higher difficulty settings. Luckily, healing is simple and straightforward. You'll need to use a special item: the trusty meat bun!

This handy item replenishes your health, and the game even offers an auto-healing feature for those who prefer a more hands-off approach to health management. No more constantly checking your health bar!

How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Meat Bun

Just like in previous *Dynasty Warriors* games, meat buns are your key to recovery. Find them by smashing pots near enemy bases. You might also get lucky and have enemy officers drop them after defeat, but this only happens on Historian and Wayfarer difficulty levels. Hero and Ultimate Warrior difficulties remove this drop.

Meat Bun Inventory

To use a meat bun, simply press Up on the D-Pad. If your inventory is full when you collect a meat bun, it'll be automatically consumed—unless you're already at full health, in which case it'll remain on the ground. Initially, you can only carry three, but the "Meat Bun Glutton" skill increases your carrying capacity if you find yourself constantly needing more.

Auto-Use Meat Buns Option

Prefer not to micromanage your healing? Enable the "Auto-Use Meat Buns" option in the Configuration menu. This automatically uses meat buns when your health drops below a certain threshold. Don't worry, you can still manually use them even with auto-use enabled, making it a convenient option to have active.
