Prepare yourselves, goat fanatics! The wildly unpredictable world of Goat Simulator is leaping from screens to tables with its very own card game. Yes, you read that right – a Goat Simulator card game is on the horizon, slated for release later this year.
Coffee Stain North, the masterminds behind the original goat-fueled chaos, are joining forces with MOOD Publishing (creators of Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game) to bring this bizarre, beautiful card game to life.
What's in Store for Goat Simulator: The Card Game?
Details are still scarce, but get ready for 2-6 player battles of goat-powered mayhem. Expect the same brand of absurdity that made the video game a cult classic, now neatly packaged in a card game box.
Launching on Kickstarter later this year, Goat Simulator: The Card Game is a physical card game. If you've ever experienced the sheer joy of launching a goat into the digital stratosphere, you can probably imagine the chaotic fun this card game will bring to the tabletop.
Santiago Ferrero, Creative Director at Coffee Stain North, perfectly summarized the game's essence: “Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That’s why we’ve partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead! You’ve seen goats on your screen; now it’s time to bring them to your table.”
Who Knew Goat Simulation Would Become a Genre?
What began as a lighthearted April Fool's joke in 2014 has evolved into a full-blown phenomenon. From PCs and consoles to mobile devices (iOS, Android, and Apple Arcade), the goat-themed game has defied expectations and maintained its quirky charm.
And now, with Goat Simulator 3 continuing the legacy of absurd goat-based adventures, a card game is joining the party. In the meantime, you can find the Goat Simulator games on the Google Play Store.
