People Can Fly, the studio behind Bulletstorm and co-developer of Gears of War: E-Day, has partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment on a new game, codenamed Project Delta. According to People Can Fly's report, Project Delta is a work-for-hire project, though details remain scarce.
This latest collaboration adds to People Can Fly's already extensive portfolio. The studio is currently juggling several projects with similar codenames, including Project Gemini (a collaboration with Square Enix, which experienced layoffs last year), Project Echo (with Krafton), Project Red (potentially also with Sony), and the recently announced VR Project Bison—their final VR endeavor.
In recent months, People Can Fly has made some significant adjustments to its development pipeline. Last December, the studio paused work on Project Victoria and scaled back development on Project Bifrost. Earlier, in April, Project Dagger, an action-adventure title partnered with Take-Two Interactive, was cancelled.
Despite these changes, People Can Fly remains busy, with at least eight projects underway, including the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day developed in partnership with The Coalition. While a release date for Gears of War: E-Day is yet to be announced, Project Gemini, the Square Enix collaboration, is currently slated for a 2026 release.
