Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is swinging onto the Nintendo Switch on January 16th! This updated version of the classic Wii and 3DS title promises a return to the vibrant world of tropical island adventure.

However, the game's release has been slightly preceded by early access for some players, as revealed by Nintendeal on X (formerly Twitter). The post also mentions sold-out pre-orders at various US retailers and showcases images of the game's physical release packaging.

While a remaster, potential spoilers are circulating online. Players anticipating the launch should exercise caution to avoid ruining the experience.

This isn't the first time Nintendo has faced early game releases. Despite these occasional leaks, the anticipation and popularity surrounding Nintendo titles remain exceptionally high.

Meanwhile, the much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 is still shrouded in mystery, although numerous leaks suggest a near-complete readiness for an official announcement. Insiders are now leading the charge in revealing information, surpassing Nintendo's own communication, which has only promised a reveal by the end of March.

Prominent blogger NateTheHate claims this announcement will finally happen this Thursday, January 16th! However, he tempers expectations, suggesting a focus on technical specifications rather than a deep dive into software and game details.
