Hotta Studios' upcoming open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test – exclusively in mainland China. While international players can't participate, new lore details and trailers offer a glimpse into the game.
Gematsu recently highlighted the game's narrative, emphasizing a blend of comedic elements and the intriguing juxtaposition of the bizarre and the ordinary within the city of Hetherau. The trailers showcase Eibon, a key location in the game (see below).
Developed by Hotta Studios (Perfect World, creators of Tower of Fantasy), Neverness to Everness distinguishes itself within the crowded 3D mobile RPG market with a unique feature: open-world driving. Players can purchase and customize various vehicles, experiencing realistic crash physics.
The game faces tough competition from established titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both setting high standards in the genre. However, Neverness to Everness' distinctive features and intriguing world could make it a strong contender.
