Season 2 of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* has officially launched today, bringing with it a game-changing feature that simplifies the progression grind. The newly introduced Camo Challenge Tracking feature is a game-changer, and here's a comprehensive guide on how it works.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Gives Simple Access to Camo Challenge Progress
The patch notes for the latest update to *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* highlight the Camo Challenge Tracking feature, stating: “The Challenge Tracker makes it easy for players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges they’re actively working toward, but there’s another element of this system that we think players will find useful on the journey to Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter: Near Completion.”
This innovative feature allows players to manually select up to 10 camos to track, providing easy access to their progress at any time during gameplay. No more tedious checks in the main menu; the tracker keeps you updated. Additionally, it sends notifications for challenges nearing completion, even if they're not among the ones you've chosen to track.

How To Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6
To start tracking a challenge, navigate to the Camo or Calling Card challenge you want to monitor. Press the Y button on an Xbox controller or the Triangle button on a PlayStation controller to add it to your tracker. This allows you to monitor your progress on various camos or calling cards during live matches, rather than waiting until after the game to check your next steps.
Even if you don't manually select a challenge, the game will automatically populate the tracker with challenges you're close to completing. This feature is always accessible, making it easy to see what you're about to unlock.
You can also view the top tracked or near-complete camo and calling card challenges in the *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* lobby under the Daily Challenge section, which lists all camos and calling cards that are close to being unlocked.
The Season 2 update has made unlocking special camos more manageable. Previously, players needed to unlock nine military camos before accessing a special camo. Now, the requirement has been reduced to just five military camos. However, to achieve the coveted mastery camos, players still need to unlock two special camos.
The community has long discussed the overwhelming number of camos per weapon and the difficulty in tracking progress and earning headshots and kills. It's clear that Treyarch has listened to player feedback and implemented more efficient ways to earn and equip camos, enhancing the overall experience of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*.
