Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, is critically ill. His family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his mounting medical expenses and living costs while he's unable to work.
According to a PC Gamer report, Johnson's wife, Kim, and family members revealed that he was found "barely alive" in his hotel room last week after failing to appear at a benefit event he was scheduled to host for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta. Hotel security found him unconscious, and paramedics had difficulty detecting a pulse.
The GoFundMe campaign initially set a goal of $50,000 but has already surpassed that significantly, raising over $144,791 from nearly 2,200 donors. Beyond his extensive video game voice acting career, Johnson is also a long-time public address announcer for the Washington Capitals hockey team and has acted in various film and television projects.
His extensive Bethesda repertoire includes memorable roles such as Ron Hope in Starfield, Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, three Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4. The gaming community and his family are rallying around him during this difficult time.
