Indie developer Sander Frenken has announced that his upcoming game, Battledom, is now in Alpha testing. This RTS-lite title serves as a spiritual successor to Frenken's 2020 hit, Herodom. A part-time developer, Frenken has dedicated roughly two years to developing Battledom, a project he describes as closely aligned with his initial vision for Herodom.
Battledom introduces dynamic RTS battle mechanics, allowing for free unit movement across the map. Directly target enemies and unleash devastating siege weapon attacks. Employ diverse formations to enhance your strategic advantage.
Build your army using in-game coins. Initially, units are equipped with basic weapons and lack armor. However, you can significantly enhance their capabilities by equipping them with crafted weapons and armor. These items directly impact unit stats, including range, accuracy, defense, and attack power.
Resource gathering is key. Collect materials like wood, leather, and coal within your village. Then, visit the blacksmith, magician, and other specialized crafters to create the weapons and armor needed to bolster your army.
Frenken is best known for Herodom, currently boasting a 4.6 App Store rating. This game features over 55 collectible heroes, 150+ units and siege weapons, and historically inspired battles. Progression unlocks new hairstyles, body types, crops, and animals for your in-game farm.
