This engaging educational app, Times Tables & Spelling, is designed for primary schools and requires a user account (see https://www.emile-education.com for details). Developed by a collaborative team of educators, academics, and game developers, Emile's resources are used in over 15% of primary schools across the UK and Ireland. Our games-based learning is rigorously tested in classrooms and grounded in solid pedagogical research.
Born from a Knowledge Transfer Partnership and partly funded by Innovate UK, Emile was created in partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University's Faculty of Education. This award-winning resource significantly improves student learning outcomes in Key Stages 1 and 2, simultaneously reducing teacher workload, particularly when used with Emile's integrated lesson plans.
Valuable feedback from UK teachers directly shaped Emile's features, including:
