The state of Uttar Pradesh has taken a significant step forward in enhancing its public health service management through the introduction of eKavach, a Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) mobile application. Launched by the National Health Mission (NHM) of Uttar Pradesh, eKavach is specifically designed to assist frontline health workers such as ASHA workers, ANMs, ASHA Sanginis, and Community Health Officers (CHOs) in streamlining their operations. The application leverages Argusoft's Open Source and Digital Public Good (DPG) Certified platform, known as MEDPlat, ensuring a robust and scalable solution.
eKavach offers an array of features tailored to manage various health services effectively. These include a complete workflow and referral system for Family Folder, Reproductive, Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMCH+), Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), Nutrition, and other crucial health services. This holistic approach ensures that health workers can provide comprehensive care and manage patient data efficiently, leading to improved health outcomes across the state.
