China Gets a Taste of Bullet Heaven with Gungeon Mobile Test

Enter the Gungeon, the acclaimed 2016 bullet-hell rogue-like, is launching a limited Android test in China! From June 28th to July 8th, Chinese players can experience a free demo on TapTap, offering a glimpse into the Gungeon's chaotic world.

This mobile demo retains the core rogue-like gameplay: unique runs, a diverse cast of quirky heroes, and ever-changing chambers filled with challenging enemies. The Gungeon itself remains a sprawling labyrinth.

The controls and interface have been redesigned for intuitive touchscreen play, allowing for smooth dodging and rapid-fire combat. A standout feature is the inclusion of two-player online co-op, enabling collaborative Gungeon conquering with a friend.

What Awaits in the Demo?

The demo lets you explore the first two floors, battling unusual gun-toting foes and formidable bullet-hell bosses. You'll also get to wield a selection of the game's extensive weapon arsenal, ranging from standard pistols to outlandish inventions.

This test phase is crucial for gathering player feedback. The developers actively encourage reporting bugs, glitches, and optimization suggestions to refine the mobile experience. Visit the TapTap page to participate.

Global Release?

Currently, the test is exclusive to China, with a Chinese-language interface. While a global release date remains unannounced, the game's popularity strongly suggests it's only a matter of time before a wider rollout.
