12BT (also known as Bead 12, Sholo Guti, or 12 Tehni) is a captivating two-player board game, similar in nature to chess and draughts (checkers, dame, damas). This free game features twelve pawns per player, with gameplay revolving around strategic pawn movement and capturing opponent's pieces.
A player moves their pawn to an empty adjacent space if available. Alternatively, a player can capture an opponent's pawn by jumping over it. Victory is achieved by capturing all twelve of the opponent's pawns.
The game shares similarities with other strategy games like Quirkat (al-qirq, Alquerque (القرقات)), Halma, Chinese Checkers, and Konane, although the board setup differs between them. Alquerque, in particular, boasts a similar board and setup to 12BT.
